Origins

“Pawtrait Collective originated as a series of hastily-executed birthday cards, produced on the train journey from Leeds to London, each year that I visited my family home to celebrate my father’s birthday, whilst I was an art history student at Leeds University. I finished several of these drawings with a flourish of lipstick or fluorescent jumbo highlighter - whatever I could unearth from the top of my suitcase. I am very pleased to have progressed to watercolour in subsequent years, and have taken the likenesses of the dogs from guests of the Sausage Dog Hotel, in Berkshire (no pun intended), where my own dachshund, Viktor, has spent many a happy holiday.”

Environment

Pawtrait Collective operates on the basis that nothing can be truly termed luxurious, if it is not also environmentally progressive and sustainable. That is why we have a commitment to become carbon neutral within the first six months of trading, and the reason you will never find any plastic or non-recyclable materials in any of our products or packaging. Our cards are made in Britain, with producers and suppliers that share our values.
